Over 1,000 expected at Dancing with the Fort Wayne Stars!

Late-breaking news from event chairperson Patsy Dumas—as of last Thursday, the current count for attendees is a record-breaking number of 1,046 (last year was 695)!

Next week is full of last-minute details - final practices, tweaking of costumes and accessories, hair and make-up appointments, finalizing of goodie bags and any extra table decorations (sorry, kids, we were nixed on the giant lips balloons—too much concern about audience visibility, which we completely understand and are sensitive to), and dress rehearsal on Wed. with all dancers.

Mr. Baeten is no longer is running a temperature, has just a few antibiotics left in his Z-pak, and was in top form yesterday for our afternoon run-through. His brief bout with bronchitis has left him with the ability, in his words, to "fit into my tightest, skinniest jeans"—just great—my already svelte and very fit dancing instructor now probably weighs less than I do! Luckily, black is slimming and the sparkles on me do seem to distract from the wrong things and attract to the right things. Here's a tiny glimpse of my "sequins and fishnets"...Miss Kiss Kiss Bang expresses heartfelt thanks to Mr. Baeten and the rest of the wonderful staff at Arthur Murray for helping me with "something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue" (well, almost blue actually, if you look closely—this is definitely NOT a bridal look!).
